Dan was guest speaker at the Gainesville Kiwanis Club meeting. His 30-minute
speech on the stories behind the Sporting Life columns covered everything
from ill-mannered bulls to naked men driving tractors. One audience member
suggested Dan give up writing and become a stand-up comedian. Not sure
if the man really enjoyed Dan's speech — or is simply tired of reading
Dan's work each week in The Times. |
